Fire Prevention Bureau Policies & Standards

The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for all aspects of Community Risk Reduction. The Bureau is involved with maintaining current construction standards, performing wildland urban interface inspections, occupancy inspections, initiating public education and conducting fire investigations. Fire inspections ensure that buildings and fire protection systems are built and maintained according to the applicable codes, as well as all life safety measures are in place. The Fire Prevention Bureau performs fire plan reviews and inspections for fire sprinklers, alarms and other systems.
